When a prominent agricultural biotechnology corporation needed to replace a corroded factory stack, they called Fisher Company. With our expertise in both fabrication and on-site installation, we were well prepared to deliver a product which would resist corrosion for a long time to come.
We began by forming the fiberglass stack in sections at our facilities, winding FRP filaments around a mandrel, where Fisher technicians ensure that the stack's walls are smooth, with no imperfections. Once the section's walls have wound to the correct thickness, the section is cured until it achieves the necessary strength. Once it has achieved optimal strenght, we deliver it to the client's Soda Springs plant where we assemble and install the sections. When complete, the 90′ stack, 3′ in diameter, will meet RTP-1 specifications and resist degradation in the operating conditions at the factory.
