Fluorloc is a new and innovative technology that allows our high build fluoropolymer coatings to remain bonded at limits never previously obtained. For the first time continuous use temperatures in excess of 100°C are possible. The secret of this new technology is the surface preparation of the metal.

Typically, a surface treatment consists of a solvent degrease followed by a grit blasting to create a surface profile of 1-3 mils. This anchor tooth creates additional surface area for adhering the fluoropolymer coating.

Our Fluorloc
system includes a special surface treatment and profile that is in the range of 40 mils, more than 10X a standard blast profile. Our coatings are mechanically locked on to the metal substrate. This gives us better adhesion than any other coating system and provides resistance to steam in place (SIP) sterilization and cleaning. In tests, the industry's best steam resistant coating failed in less than 50 hours of continuous exposure to 120°C steam. The Fluorloc coating system lasted more than 1000 hours without blistering or disbonding.

Please contact us with your specific needs and let us help you to determine if your application can benefit from Fluorloc
coatings. We offer these in ECTFE Halar®, Kynar® PVDF and ETFE 1020. Fluorloc technology is available in USP Class VI coatings. They are suitable for tanks, vessels, reactors, large diameter piping, valves, filter housings, agitators, mixers and vacuum drying ovens.
